falling rainbow

yellow t - My Favorite Tee (Younkers)
green t - Old Navy

Sometimes I have days where I feel I need to wear Every Colour (oops, sorry orange).  And then nothing happens all day, so I draw myself upside down to make it at least a little exciting.  Tada!

Aftermath!!!  After staying up I-dare-not-say-how-late (ahem, 6:30am) finishing a project, this is how I spent the rest of the day.  I don't know what to say except that I was really happy to finally have a deadline again, after many months of being sort-of-working-on-things-but-not-able-to-finish-them, and so got a bit carried away making sure I absolutely met my deadline without fail.  Aaah.  It's such a great feeling to finish things.

Anyway, I'm going to point to this incident as the reason I got a li'l behind with updating here.  It'll probably happen again whenever my next big deadline comes along, so be aware.  But I'll always come back, you know!!

This is my dilemma.  I got lazy for a few days and didn't write down what I wore alongside the drawing, and then when I went back I had to figure it out based on the drawing and my memory.  It's usually not a problem because I've trained my brain to remember frivolous details like that, but when I got to this drawing I could not for the life of me remember what pair of tights I'd worn.  So I made three different versions—the yellow tights as you see here, the same outfit with pink tights, and with blue tights.  Now for your assignment: please write a five-paragraph essay and explain which you like best, OR which you think Lys was most likely to have actually worn, and why.

curry flurries

Working on catch-up, still.  Maybe I need to go back to just posting these as b/w sketches and worry about colour when I have an endless supply of free time again.  Hmm.

Anyway, I got a little dressed up to go out for lunch with my dad at an Indian restaurant down the street from me.  This past... spring? I discovered an Indian curry cookbook (660 Curries by Raghavan Iyer) at the library, and I've been in love with Indian food ever since.  But so far I'd only ever made it myself, so I was curious about what the food at a restaurant would be like!  They had a lunch buffet, so we got to sample a bunch of dishes.  It was all tasty, but I think next time I'll try ordering off the menu to experience the food at its best.  Now I'm even more determined to try making paneer with goat milk someday...

lolita dreaming sweet

I went to a Halloween-Reformation Day party at my friends' place , so I had to dress up!  Of course!!  And continuing with cute-boot week, I wore my fuzzy pink boots again.  They nearly matched the ones the bunnies on the dress were wearing!  Too perfect.

This is the second time I've worn this dress since buying it in San Francisco in August. Seeing a real Baby The Stars Shine Bright store was so amazing and dreamy~ I wanted to wear everything! I actually would've been sensible and gone home empty handed, but my family convinced me I really really wanted a dress, so I ended up getting a lucky pack with this outfit inside (the dress, under-dress and bonnet). Now I find myself wanting more opportunities to wear it, and dreaming of expanding my collection beyond just this one dress. Ahh, someday...!
