crafty saturday
A casual, colourful Saturday outfit. We had a craft event at church for all the ladies and girls; I was able to strike up a conversation with the mother of a family who had just recently started attending. We bonded over shared food allergies (darn that gluten!) and the fact that one of her daughters has the same yellow shirt as I happened to be wearing (said daughter is in her teens, so this led to another "You're how old? But you look...!" conversation. she said it more nicely than that, of course!). It was a happy day, despite the grey skies and drizzle.

comfort over frills
The problem with those lovely frilly dresses is that they're all (at least the ones I've got cutely short-sleeved and thin material. And it's winter here. And winter is cold. So after spending a day in ruffles and lace I needed to go back to something comfy-cozy and easy to curl up under blankets in. My good ol' tan skirt is just the thing for such an occasion! Layer it up!

the cleverness of me!
As I was working on a project on this Tuesday morning, still in my pjs, a particularly useful idea suddenly came to me (looking back, it wasn't really that big of a deal) and suddenly I heard a little voice say, "Oh the cleverness of me!" I replied, Oh, Peter you silly boy. I took that as my cue and decided to dress up Pan-inspired. Hooray! All ready to fight pirates!

thanksgiving dreams
I am a fickle lass. I couldn't bring myself to post more plain old black and white sketches—it's so booooring! I need colour. So I did my best to colour these all fast-fast.
So, belatedly, Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrated it! I hope you had lots of yummy food and a pleasant break from the normal routines!

friend fashion!
This time you get two outfits!! My friend told me I'd inspired her to wear more bright colours. That made me super happy :D The world can always use more colour!! Hopefully I got the details mostly right—I took a couple notes on her outfit and otherwise just stored the colours in my brain. She made the skirt and the armwarmers herself!!
