crafty saturday

A casual, colourful Saturday outfit.  We had a craft event at church for all the ladies and girls; I was able to strike up a conversation with the mother of a family who had just recently started attending.  We bonded over shared food allergies (darn that gluten!) and the fact that one of her daughters has the same yellow shirt as I happened to be wearing (said daughter is in her teens, so this led to another "You're how old?  But you look...!" conversation.  she said it more nicely than that, of course!).  It was a happy day, despite the grey skies and drizzle.

Busy-busy, running around day.  A planning meeting at church, then catching a bus to my friend's senior art show at my old college.  I always like going back for the shows (or just to hang out) and seeing all the people I used to be around on a daily basis.  I don't think I know any of the students there anymore, though.  Time keeps going...

I got to pull out my pink bike since the weather had finally spring'd up a bit!  Bikes are so convenient.  And if you can have one that's cute too... well, what more could you want?

christmas sock weather

Straight hair!  It's a straight-hair-no-glasses day.  And now... for a few hours of today, the 10th of December, I am going to savour being all, entirely caught up on daily-fashion posts.  Tomorrow I may fall behind again, but today I can be satisfied.

Whew.

uselessly cute jacket

Back to yellow and purple! And layers.  That jacket always makes me feel cold, despite its long sleeves, and despite "keeping you warm" being the basic purpose of jackets. I used a pair of legwarmers as insulation.

winter patterns

So many patterns!  I love that about winter—I start piling on the layers and end up with a combination of all kinds of things I never would've thought to put together.  Makes me feel warm and happy!

Being a pattern-lover, of course I am also quite fond of ties.  I can't get enough of the paisley and the intricate designs and fancy colours!!  They're too delicious.  I am slowly building up a necktie collection from relatives who don't wear theirs and department store clearance/sale shelves.  I have been told thrift stores are another good source for ties, but I never remember to look when I am at one.
