satisfied

shirt - Blue Asphalt/Wet Seal

A friend of mine came over on this day, and we made lunch together.  Black bean croquettes (sorta), kale chips and corn flatbread—all vegetably and so delicious!! It was nice to chat over a meal with a friend.

Okay, and for the rest of today's update, have some new-old drawings!  Two more with the butterfly shirt (because I finally got around to taking a good look at it and colouring it in Photoshop) and two super-lazy (actually, I was just reallyreally busy with multiple project deadlines) outfits from the hot days of August. Enjoy!

lace ninja

blouse - Bodyline (Japanese budget-lolita(?) brand)
skirt - Old Navy
tabi socks - Tabbisocks
crystal earrings - Forever21

I don't know what this outfit is. A frilly lacy blouse and then a double layer of socks... what with the layered tabi socks and kneesocks, I kinda felt like a ninja or something. I don't know if that makes sense to anyone besides me, but...

Also, a kind reader asked if I could list brands for the clothes I'm wearing, so from now on I'll give it a try (for the things I can remember anyway)! Anyone who's interested, see the caption below the image!

The tights and kneesocks probably came from Kohl's or something, but it's been forever. Also, if you wantcoloured bobbypins, I made mine by painting some plain ones I had with nailpolish. Super easy.

grumpy girl

I woke up and realized I didn't care even a little bit what I wore, so I wore a sweater that I didn't care about.  I think this outfit is nice in theory—I like the colours together, the texture, etc, but it just made me grumpy all day wearing it.  The sleeves were loose and baggy and would get in my way.  The skirt had one of those hook-eyelet clasps above the zipper on the side, and it poked my skin and annoyed me.  Only my tabi socks and loved-to-pieces grey jeans could cheer me up.  Blerg. It might be time to move on from this sweater.
